光…就… grammar point · tier 2 · 光…就… just / merely (this lone input alone is already enough to → result)
Frame: 光 strips the input down to one bare source or action, and 就 fires the result off that alone — nothing else was needed.

字源 FORM what the parts do

光 carries its bare, nothing-but sense (吃光了, eaten clean): it pares the input to this one thing and nothing added. 就 sits before the verb of the result, the step already taken off that lone input: this much alone already lands the outcome, with nothing further drawn in.

故事 STORY a scene to remember it by

One strand pulled from the heap; that single strand alone reaches the far end.

框 · Frame
光 [lone N / V(O)] 就 [result]
觸 · Trigger
One bare source or action is already enough to reach the result, with nothing else brought in: stress how little it took.
序 · The move
1Mark the lone input with 光 — a single noun, or a verb (object) and nothing else.Is this genuinely the only input, presented as bare and minimal? If something else is also needed, 光 is wrong.
2Open the result with 就 before its verb.Does 就 sit before the verb of the result, after the 光-phrase?
3Read the result back against the bare input.Does that lone input already reach the outcome, with nothing more drawn in — not fall short of it?

Just from the title you can already tell this is a very creative book.
界 · Boundary
就2
光…就2… totals a high count off a narrow scope (stress the number: this corner alone has four). 光…就… here fires a result off a lone source or action (stress the sufficiency: just this much already does it). Same 光…就 shell, count axis vs sufficiency axis.
連…都…
連…都… piles on the hardest case so the rest follow (even a child gets it). 光…就… strips to the single minimal input and stops there (this one thing, nothing harder added). Opposite move: 連 adds the extreme, 光 pares to the bare.
只要…就…
只要 names a sufficient condition for a future result (clear this bar and the gate opens). 光 names the lone input you already worked from to reach the result now (just off this, you can already tell). Condition-then-result vs bare-input-already-enough.
✗ 從書名就知道。 (no 光, reads as plain promptness) → ✓ 光從書名就知道。 (光 marks the title as the lone input, nothing more consulted)
✗ 光聽學會了。 (result clause drops 就) → ✓ 光聽就學會了。 (就 fires the result off the bare input)
✗ 光從書名知道就。 → ✓ 光從書名就知道。 (就 sits before the verb, never trails the clause)
English carries this with just or merely glued to the input phrase ("just from the title"); Chinese splits the work — 光 sits on the input, 就 sits before the result verb, and the pair must both appear.
