褱聲huài — gives the readinga robe 衣 holding something to the chest — also the core of 懷
Earth (土) under the sound 褱 (huài). 說文: 敗也, to fall to ruin — an earthen wall crumbling. The sound-piece 褱 is the same core hidden inside 懷 (to carry at the breast), but on its own you would not recognize it: it is a 衣 (robe) wrapped around an inner shape. From ruined earth come 壞了、壞蛋 (gone bad) and 破壞、損壞 (to damage).
